Are Bottles and Packaging Recyclable?

Yes they are.

All our glass and PET bottles are recyclable but in most parts of the country it’s down to you to take them to a suitable bottle bank. Most authorities have kerbside collections now.

PET plastic can be reused in our bottles, although this has only recently been made possible on a significant scale.

We are in ongoing discussions with our supplier and are hoping to introduce recycled PET sometime in early 2009. We’ll keep you posted.

Is the water bottled at source?

Yes, all Harrogate Spa Water is bottled and packed at source at our factory in Harrogate. Our water is drawn from an aquifer below the factory and when it is bottled, it’s the first time the water has seen the light of day for over 80 years. Our catchment area has never been farmed and so the water is low in nitrates and nitrites.
